In a few hours time, Olympus will once again make history when they introduce the reincarnation of their best selling pen-series digital cameras. It is modeled as E-P1, Olympus' very first Micro Four Thirds digital camera. I have been yearning for a high performance digital compact without going into the madness of getting a Leica M8. The Micro Four Thirds concept is the answer to my prayer (and to many others as well). The compactness and minimalistic design of the E-P1 is godsend for many aspiring photographers where bulky DSLRs and lenses are deemed too obtrusive and tiresome to carry around. Kudos to Olympus for once again, being the maverick in the industry to recognise and recreate the magic they once had in their pen-series pedigree. A new class of digital rangefinders is about to be unleashed.
I think pictures paint a thousand words. This thing is just so stylish and sexy! My guess is that it might be the next iPhone in the digital camera world. :))
